Hi David, it was mostly a case of doing it every day. For me, when it started to hurt, I knew I was at 7.5 g's. Also, the 9 g turns only last a few, maybe up to 10, seconds. Thanks for the comment.
I strickly flew Block 15s. I don't remember that being a possibility. I was an FCF pilot and got to mess with most of the switches, but don't remember being able to override the G limits.

Just curious, did you ever get the opportunity to over ride the g limiter? I worked F-16 avionics on block 10, 15 & 25’s, in the early 1980’s.

Probably saved a few lives, keeping silent about the g over ride sequence. Block 15 was the best!
I can imagine some pilot doing something really dumb with that feature.
