When I told my stock market newsletter subscribers about this new publishing venture, my first group of Land, Fly, or Die subscribers found their way here. Now that I am gathering Land, Fly, or Die subscribers from other sources, I decided it is a good time to share some of my background.
I am the editor of three investment newsletters. Investors Alley hosts the newsletters. We launched the first one, The Dividend Hunter, ten years ago. As an editor, I do all the research and writing for the newsletter issues. Each service has a recommended portfolio, and I personally invest in all the investments I recommend to my subscribers. My approach is very income-focused. Here are the three services.
The Dividend Hunter has a recommended portfolio of high-yield (8% to 9%) investments with the goal of earning a stable and growing high-yield income stream.
Monthly Dividend Multiplier employs a dividend growth strategy, aiming to generate mid-teens compound annual returns driven by dividend earnings plus share price appreciation propelled by growing dividends.
Weekly Income Accelerator uses covered call options trades to generate high current cash flow. I partner with one of our options experts.
The three services have over 30,000 paying subscribers.
I got into financial services right after I separated from the Air Force in 1987. I have always been interested in investing. I was a licensed stock broker, insurance licensed, and I completed the training to be a Certified Financial Planner – CFP. I worked in the financial industry for about a decade.
The next decade had me working sales and management jobs in various industries. In 2007, I got a wild hair (long story) and moved to Montevideo, Uruguay. I lived in Uruguay for six years. It was a lot of fun! To pay the bills, I got started in the new opportunity of writing piecework internet content.
Everything I wrote went through an editor, which really helped hone my writing skills.
A few months after moving back to the States, I was contacted by the owner of Investors Alley to launch their first newsletter. I signed a contract, we worked out the details of the Dividend Hunter, and the rest is history. I have a lot of contact with my investment subscribers, and from their feedback, my work is a significant help to their financial lives.
Let me know what you enjoy reading! While my primary focus is to share my flying stories, I will also discuss other topics on occasion.
